Class Descriptions
Ballet- A structured
class designed to teach the basics of ballet to students to improve
their technique.
Jazz- A progam
involving warm up, basic jazz techniques and use of body alignment
while learning routines to traditional as well as modern, funky
tunes.
Tap- A class centered
around learning rhythmic exercises that strengthen coordination
and timing. A warm up, across the floor exercises and combinations
will give students the chance to utiilze skills learned.
Hip Hop- This high
energy class consists of a dance warm up, strengthening exercises,
follow along movements, freestyle and combinations using new, popular,
up-to-date music.
Street Jazz- Combining
jazz techniques and hip hop influences to create a funky, fun hybrid.
Small Fries Creative
Movement- A 45 minute class used to introduce children the age
of 3-5 to the basics of dance including hip hop moves, creative
movement, games, counting and coordination exercises. Builds
your child's coordination while using their imagination.
Yoga- Relax, unwind
and strengthen your mind and body through the practice of yoga
postures and breathing techniques. Stress reduction is
essential to creating well-being and balance in our lives.
Dress Code
Hip Hop/Street Jazz-Comfortable
loose fitting clothing, jeans permitted. No skirts. No dresses.
Sneakers or Hip Hop shoes only.
Jazz/Tap-Comfortable
loose fitting clothing. No jeans. No long pants. No
skirts. No dresses. Tap shoes required for tap classes.
Jazz/Hip Hop shoes required for jazz classes.
Ballet-Body suit,
tights and ballet slippers.
Yoga-Comfortable,
loose fitting clothing i.e. sweat pants and a T-shirt.
